Jefferson describes his home state of Virginia. Said descriptions were compiled into a book, which he eventually saw published in 1787 with his London bookseller. Prior to that, however, he arranged for around 200 copies to be distributed.
Primary Source 3
This book details the inner workings of Jefferson's farm home. Listing such things as livestock and slaves, it served as a valuable record for the total worth of his property.
